A Little Bit About Me...

I have been teaching in various forms for over ten years. I was a teaching assistant for four semesters in graduate school. I mentored and tutored people during my time as a Naval officer. I worked for Kaplan Inc for about a year, teaching almost all of their tests, including SAT, ACT, MCAT, LSAT, GRE, and GMAT. I taught mathematics and statistics at Parkland College for three years. I am currently employed as a full-time instructor at a government laboratory...but I'd like to teach more, in the late afternoons, evenings, and weekends!

I have a degree in elementary education with endorsements in reading and history. I also greatly enjoy teaching writing. I taught Pre-K for two years with a focus on reading, writing, and math. I was a nanny for a year for five and seven year old. I would assist with homework and practice reading skills.
