I would say that all people are capable of learning and improving their abilities, knowledge, and skill. My experience has been that if a child, youth, or adult is given the space in which to learn, and introduced to material in a patient manner, in the style that works for them (be that through explanation or visual learning, etc) they will take the initiative to learn and grow at the pace and direction which works for them. People are naturally inclined to learn and grow, and my experience is that when given the opportunity and supportive role of a teacher, they will become interested in learning and continue to do so.

My style is open to discussion. I live the one on one interaction but also love the group discussion. I used to tutor an entire classroom during summer for 6 hours straight.
I started around 2005 tutoring for the departments of chemistry and math in Queensborough Community College, from the basic levels in organic chemistry 2 and calculus.
