I have a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. I love being able to help students feel comfortable with the material they are studying. I have tutored numerous times throughout college, and would like to get back into tutoring students because I find it to be rewarding. As a student who went from living in Germany and being taught that there are many ways of getting the right answer, to moving to America where everything is taught in one way, I have learned to incorporate my tutoring skills to the need of each individual student. Biology is one of my top subjects! I hold a Ph.D. in biomedical science - focused on molecular virology.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have been an educator for the past twelve years. I started teaching biology and chemistry in the Wallingford school system. While there, I also served as the assistant track coach and as an instructor in the evening adult education program. I ultimately ended up in the Monroe school system where I currently teach chemistry and, once again, serve as an assistant track coach. A Little Bit About Me...

After graduating from college with a BA, I began working for an environmental restoration and public education program. We led large volunteer groups sometime of more than 100 people, in local park and forest restoration event, and also led youth groups on 10 day restoration and hiking trips in the national forest. After this I worked for a program that places tutors in schools that are in need, where i tutored K-5 students in reading, led a ESL class of about 10 students, and worked as a teachers assistant in the class room.
