I always have been skilled in mathematics. Throughout my entire academic career, number relationships and equations have always come pretty easily to me. I even tutored some friends in college because they were struggling. I've have been a very visual learner, so geometry and trigonometry came particularly easily to me. Having a visual aid really helps one understand the relationship between angles, triangles, area, and volume. I always liked playing up my quirky personality. My favorite teachers and professors were the goofy ones, the ones who can relate to the students' fun side. These teachers also challenged me the most, and I ended up getting so much more out of the course. I figure that, if a student likes the teacher, he or she will pay more attention and have a deeper respect for the teacher. I am a volunteer tutor for Adult ESL & GED for the Literacy Council of Williamson County since June 2009. I have worked with adults.
