I have been a tutor for 23 years and I have taught Adult Basic Education for 12 years. I am still continuing my education to receive a Masters degree and plan to get my PhD. I work for a community college and have done advising, enrollment, testing, phone directory, and student sevices. I have attended many professional development workshops on education.
Critical thinking skills and untraditional ways are what I focus on. However the way someone learns, I will try to set the individual up to show how they learn and work with them. My comments on tutoring College Algebra : I would just need 10 minutes to refresh my information

I have been a math tutor since 6th grade and have continued to tutor since that point. All of my results have been positive, and I can guarantee improvement. I have attended Wayne state university Math Corps summer enrichment program as both a student for 3 years and as a tutor for 3 years, an uncommon feat. I was a member of the Michigan league of academic games from grades 4 to 8, going to the state finals each year. Math is literally my bread and butter.
I prefer one on one tutoring to fully understand any shortcomings or misunderstandings toward the subject. I will make math more relatable and focus on the fundamentals to improve speed and to make future subject matter easier to adjust to.
