Elementary Vocabulary Tutors & Teachers for Lessons, Instruction or Help in Middleport, OH

I am the mother of 3 children and an elementary education teacher. Currently I am teaching 2nd grade but I've been teaching for 5 years and have experience in grades k,1, 2, 3 and 5. I've also had substitute and tutoring experience with grades k-12. I have experience with special needs both through my own children and within the classroom. In addition to a Bachelor's Degree I have 6 additional credit hours towards my Master's Degree and am currently enrolled in a 3 hour course. I scored in the top 15% nation wide of all teachers taking the Praxis and PLT II in 2011 and am considered a highly qualified educator. I believe every child can succeed in school. I have worked in schools in Kentucky and Ohio. I have been a tutor, intervention aide, long term substitute teacher, and regular classroom teacher. I communicate freely with my students, and am always ranked among the most well-liked and effective instructors by my students. My best skill is helping students find what is in it for them to learn and use the material. I currently teach (adjunct) at a career College where I teach English, history, strategies for success, and communications classes. Student-centered, Co-intentional. In high school I helped tutor younger children. My freshmen year of college I volunteered as a tutor at Ely Chapman. I am currently a teaching assistant for an Anatomy lab. All of my experience has been one-on-one tutoring and I typically take a hands on approach to learning. Since I am a college student I am constantly learning new information and the most effective study skills.
