I have experience tutoring former classmates and some clients. I find that because of class sizes and lack of time, some students are not getting the proper instruction needed to succeed. The way public schools are set up they focus on excelency on state tests, and don't build up on needed stepping stones for the next years levels. My missionary experiences informed me of one idea: people are important and they have to be considered person-by-person. Those experiences have led me to take a teaching philosophy and teaching practice that is person-centric.
