A Little Bit About Me...

I am a graduate from Pittsburg State University with a Bachelor Degree in Psychology and about to graduate in May 2011 with another Bachelor degree in Recreational Therapy. I was valedictorian in my high school and graduated in the top 10% of my class in college. In addition to that I have 5 years of Spanish I have taken in high school and college and recently went to Oaxaca, Mexico on a study abroad trip for 3 weeks. I have three years of experience working with children and teaching them social skills, daily living skills, helping them with their homework whenever they need it, and I love to learn.

Teaching and tutoring have been my life's work. Though the majority of my experience is at the college level, I love working with students of all ages. My undergraduate degree from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan was a major in Home Economics Education and a minor in Spanish. Ten years later I completed my Master of Arts in Teaching in Elementary Education at the same University. I have a total of ten years experience on the elementary, junior high and high school levels. My experience was mostly in private church schools teaching from single grades, all subjects, to multi-grades, all subjects. I taught Spanish for one year on the high school level and am very qualified to teach Spanish since I am fluent in the language. I also homeschooled my two children through the 5th and 6th grades.
