I like to work with children of all types. I think that anybody has the capability to learn if they really want to. Everybody learns in a different way and I am willing to work with them any way I can. I am very patient, laid back, and willing to try new ways to help children accomplish their goals. A teacher is their to help them learn and lift their spirits in times of frustration and show them a different approach to the problem. Encouraging the child can make all the difference in the world sometimes when they are about to give up.
I am a graduate from Pittsburg State University with a Bachelor Degree in Psychology and about to graduate in May 2011 with another Bachelor degree in Recreational Therapy. My undergraduate degree from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan was a major in Home Economics Education and a minor in Spanish. Ten years later I completed my Master of Arts in Teaching in Elementary Education at the same University. I have a total of ten years experience on the elementary, junior high and high school levels. My experience was mostly in private church schools teaching from single grades, all subjects, to multi-grades, all subjects. I taught Spanish for one year on the high school level and am very qualified to teach Spanish since I am fluent in the language. I also homeschooled my two children through the 5th and 6th grades.
