My teaching style adapts to the students current level of knowledge. I always model 2 or 3 problems step by step before asking the student to try a problem. A student is comfortable knowing that I have "their backs" and won't let them be frustrated for long. This gives a student confidence to try problems on their own.
I taught in two public high schools in Orange and Osceola Counties in the Central Florida area for 5 years where I earned the Professional Educators Certificate to teach mathematics 6 - 12. I am currently a college sophomore at Florida Institute of Technology studying Computer Engineering so I know the problems a high school or school or college student would face in studies. Therefore, I will be able to communicate with m y students better and help them excel in studies and eliminate their weak points in any subject. I have no teaching style since I believe that to succeed one needs to seriously study and teach and cover your weakest subjects first.

I enjoy being around kids, but I prefer to working with only one or two children in a learning environment. I am very patient but I enforce that the objective is to learn and be proud of his/her success. I try to teach in a step-by-step method. Knowing that each person is different and learns at different rates, I start out at mid-level and spend more or less time on the topic(explaining, writing note-cards, drawing diagrams, and asking them to repeat methods) based on their understanding. The schools told me my son would never learn to read or write. He is my only child out of four who reads lengthy books for pleasure. Everyone has a different style of learning.
