I'm currently a Junior at Wichita State University. I will be graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics in May of 2014. I passed Algebra I and II with A's, Geometry and Trigonometry with an A, Pre-Calculus with 105% and Calculus with 114%. I also passed Calculus II and III with an A and I've taken other higher level college math courses such as Linear Algebra, Discrete Math, Differential Equations, Introduction to Complex Variables, and Introduction to Advanced Math, and passed all of them with either B+'s or A's. Let's face it; most students do not want to be in a math class. As a teacher, it is my job to present the material in a way that will make students not want to tar and feather me out of boredom while simultaneously communicating the abstract ideas as clearly as possible. However I like puns, and math is filled with wonderful pun making material (like: how to deal with radicals using our rational powers and get to the root of the problem). Consequently, I am pretty sure my students want to tar and feather me, but at least they will not do it out of boredom and they end up with a decent mnemonic device via the pun.
