My style is what works for the person I am working with. I am opened to sharing my ideas, but listening to each individual and what works for them.

I teach to the child and motivate them to do better through their natural desires to achieve and to seek approval. I believe in postive reinforcement that is linked to realistic and attainable goals. Building relationship with children and their families is the best tool I know for helping children learn. I see children as a part of the greater systems of family and community. I believe it truly takes a village to raise children and that cooperation among the adults that impact them the most- family, including all members of the extended family, teachers, friends, religious and other community leaders - ensures a child's success.
