My comments on tutoring Chinese : Although I studied Mandarin Chinese at the University of Florida, much of my experience is real world through friends and business associates. I learned Mandarin to improve business negotiations and to better understand the culture. I have been consulting western business with interest in eastern markets for the past year. Currently, I also provide service to beginner/intermediate students seeking to learn Mandarin for school or recreational purposes.
I am a firm believer that different people learn in different ways. Therefore, while I teach by my own set of principles I am always seeking feedback on how better to accommodate the manners in which criteria can be better understood.
Prior to serving in the United States Army, I was a successful entrepreneur in NJ. In 2003, I was recruited and after serving I returned to train troops at the Infantry Training Brigade at Fort Benning, GA. After returning home, I began working at a financial firm and became a licensed Investment Advisor and Asset Manager.
