A Little Bit About Me...

I tutor based on the individual's learning needs. I have encountered some that were visual learners ad everything had to be drawn/written out. I have also tutored students that can have me explain it and they grasp it easily. My teaching style changes according to the needs of the student because not every one learns the same. I do believe Accounting is a complex field and the student has to have an interest in the field to truly be successful in retaining what they are taught.
While earning my Masters in Accounting, I voluntarily tutored Undergrad students that were earning their Associates or Bachelors in Accounting. The students were enrolled in the local community college (Central Carolina Tech) as well as the University of South Carolina. I have earned an Associates, Bachelors, and Masters which all have concentration in Accounting.

As a high school student, I tutored ESL students. I went on to college to earn a BA degree in Elementary Education. I had 3 practicum experiences among grades 3-5, and completed student teaching in grade 4. Within the 4th grade classroom I taught math, reading, spelling, social studies, writing, and science. While student teaching, I also spent extra time outside of the classroom tutoring students who were in need of more assistance in various subject areas including math, reading, and writing. I have been an active volunteer in my church since middle school, working with children ages 3-11.
I fully believe that given the appropriate instruction, all students can learn and succeed.
