As the Title I Math Specialist at Peyton Elementary for three years, I had the opportunity to work with struggling learners as well as high achieving students in a small classroom setting. This on-the-job experience combined with numerous professional development credits earned in various areas such as differentiated instruction, math/literature connections, and mathematics pedagogy as well as two years of service on Peyton Elementary's "Child Study" team gave me the necessary background to be able to identify individual student needs and tailor lessons to address those needs.
