I have been tutoring since 2012 I have learned a lot from other professional tutors and teachers. I worked at the college I`m currently enrolled in, as a math tutor. I tutored from Algebra to Precalculus to high-level calculus and even higher-level math courses.I also tutored in Math and chess for about a year after wards. I tutored algebra and calculus at high school. I was a substitute teacher for 7th graders and for a SAT type prep school. Also, when I studied mathematics at universities with students, we taught each other.
It is important to spark the students interest by showing the relevance of math in every day life to complex problems. There needs to be a clear dialogue between the instructor and the pupil. For some, one example is sufficient; while others need more. The amount that the student performs in front of the teacher depends on the level of the student. For example, the pupil that learns quickly, should be taught the equations and theory rapidly. The proof of the success is in how well the homework is performed. For the slower student, problems in front of the tutor need to be done until the pupil grasps the material well enough to do it alone.
