Live, Love, and Beautify

Learning is the basis of what we know. What we know is the basis of who we are. Who we are is the basis of the impact we will have on the world. I love helping others to understand the unknown, and to overcome what may seem to be a hinderance. I have tutored children for six years, and look forward to another six years of helping them to open their level of thinking. I have worked with special tutorial programs through the state, I have worked with daycares that provide extra assistance to children with special educational needs, and I am always available to children in the neighborhood who need a little extra guidance with their school work.
I like to teach hands on and allow the students to experience the lessons like real life, this makes the learning process more memorable.

I have been tutoring for the college I was attending(for 2.5 years) for the last 4 semesters. The assistant dean of the math department recruited me to tutor math specifically because of my ability and understanding of the subject. I can offer your company a wide range of experience. I have worked as a speech-language pathologist in two different Texas public school districts, as a home-school administrator, and as a core teacher in the private-school setting. I have taught middle-school language arts and mathematics. With my degree and experience in special needs and learning differences, I served as supervisor/teacher for a special needs program called the Link Lab at Poetry Community Christian School. The Link Lab also provided tutoring for students in the afternoons. I recently moved back to the Shreveport area where I grew up. Not desiring a full-time position in the school system, I would enjoy part-time work, especially in one-on-one learning settings.
