IN NEED OF A JOB

I like to have a fun open minded discussion. I don't like boring so I will do my best to spice it up.
I have obtained my GED and have always had straight As in high school. I'm also familiar with construction and building skills. I am a visual learner and will do my best to make the teaching fun. One of the reasons that I'm interested in tutoring is that, although I love working with individual students and small groups, I am less interested in classroom management, discipline and the rest of the duties that come along with substitute teaching. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education, Magna Cum Laude, from Western Michigan University, majoring in History and minoring in Political Science. In addition, I have earned twenty-seven credit hours in English composition and writing courses. I have tutored at the college level, have volunteered in elementary classrooms as a reading and phonics coach, and have taught Latin with the Memoria Press homeschool curriculum materials. I have a year of experience working with at-risk students as a high school reading intervention teacher in an urban school. I think that the greatest skill for one to learn is to be able to seek information that can be synthesized into the answer that is needed.
