My goal when teaching a student is to explain the subject in the most simplest way possible. So next time the student is back in the classroom, they will have some understanding of what the teacher is teaching. I also like to get an understanding of the way the student learns. I have over 10 years in tutoring elementary and high school students. I started tutoring in 2000 with the YMCA's after-school program. I truly enjoy teaching math and enjoy watching the 'click' when a student begins to understand the concepts. I believe many students have been erroneously convinced that "they don't get math" or that math is too hard.
