My first experience as a teacher came in high school when I held a part-time job at a Kumon Math and Reading Center. As an undergraduate student at Columbia University I held several after school tutoring positions, some paid and some volunteer. Upon graduation I decided to join Teach For America. For the past year and a half I have been teaching high school mathematics in rural Hawaii while concurrently pursuing a master of education in teaching degree from the University of Hawaii. Next fall I will be entering the MBA program at the MIT Sloan School of Management, but I will always remain interested in teaching.

A Little Bit About Me...

As an MIT graduate, I was particularly driven to excel in science and mathematics courses so as to be able to apply these to engineering and technology problems. I subsequently obtained two doctorate degrees: one in medicine and the second in law. I am currently working on the development and patenting of medical devices to improve medical care for patients. I have always loved teaching and tutoring and have done it for many years to supplement my income. My students tell me that I can explain the material in a very understandable way.
I really love teaching and finding different ways of using analogies and similarities to explain difficult concepts.
