My comments on tutoring College Algebra : College Algebra was new and different for me, and a little of a challenge, but I learned how to tackle each problem one step at a time with the help of great instructors at Diablo Valley College.

I am currently a school-age teacher at an afterschool child development program. I have my 12 E.C.E units to teach in such an afterschool program as a teacher. I have taught a afterschool based curriculum at two seperate child development centers, for a total of 6 1/2 years. I began tutoring at Diablo Valley College in Algebra. As a accomplished student, I realized I always had help along the help with achieving academic success. From teachers and counselors to my peers and older students. I began to help other with academics as early as the third grade, however I began to commit to tutoring in High School and continue it through-out college, in hopes to eventually becoming a teacher in the future.
I believe anyone can teach a subject, having enough knowledge of a subject allows one to pass it on. However, I feel what many teachers do not do is teach students how to learn.
