A Little Bit About Me...

As an artist I am a visual learner, so I teach in that manner. I like to first teach the fundamentals of art such as perspective and proper proportions, how to draw from life, and a great understanding of color theory. Teaching these then allow no boundaries for personal creation and self expression. I will have a print out of the course and mini lessons to complete throughout the week as well as a materials list.

A Little Bit About Me...

As a student at the University of South Florida I had a minor in Leadership studies. With this minor I was able to take course that allowed me to work in the community with less fortunate kids. I volunteered for a semester as a tutorer at Elemenatry School. I help the kids inccrease their reading levels.
I believe that all kids learn differently. Some may like things to be explained visually while other may perfer them verbally. So my approach is to use a variety of techniques in order to reach the different students. I believe that games are a good way to teach kids and to incorperate competition so that kids will learn to strive for the best and to be the best. Every student benefits from a special teaching style, dependent on the students' way of learning. I am best with teaching elementary school math using tricks and tools they may not get to learn in a typical classroom setting. I find it best when I ask a series of questions in the beginning to evaluate their knowledge. From there we determine the best way to learn.
