As a trainer and coach, I work with diverse groups (age, background, education, etc.) and utilize varied styles to meet the needs of the participants. Adult learners need to connect past knowledge with new discoveries and have a sense that what they are learning will benefit them in some way, children need to experience, touch and incorporate their senses into their learning. All in all, I alter my teaching to meet the needs of my students.

I have always been interested in helping students like me who struggle in the math and science courses. As such, I have started tutoring during my high school days and armed with several years of experience, I intend to help more and more students as I go onwards to getting my Master's degree in Microbiology. My teaching style is Socratic in method. I have learned a large variety of techniques to help teach some of the most basic to the most advanced concepts to a large audience of students. I like to mold my teaching style to fit with each individual student. As a teacher of special-needs and emotionally handicapped children, I have learned techniques that make me a formidable teacher in any environment, so long as I am familiar with the material. After many years as a Wyoming rancher and three years as an ESL volunteer, I returned to school to become an ESL professional. With my Master of Education degree in hand, I taught a year of ESL classes at Cochise College, then became the Adult ESL Coordinator for Northwest College in Powell, Wyoming. My career path led other directions for several years, then I had the opportunity to return to education as a secondary science teacher in two charter schools.
