I believe that whenever I'm working with a student they have the capacity to learn and internalize the material. I believe that the student can learn the material. My method of mathematical and scientific instruction is based off the Polya style of teaching where the instructor guides their students by questions and reviewing the known information. Thus the student's questions drive the student towards the answer desired. I find great personal reward when working with students. After explaining information and working on helping a student understand the material there's sometimes that moment when you can watch the student go from not knowing what's going on to sudden understanding. Moments like that make my day.

A Little Bit About Me...

Experience: covers a broad range of Student's ages. From 1st Grade up to 12th Grade. My main theme are Maths but also I do very well in Physics. I completed Engineering Studies in Peru so that's the background I can show in Maths and Science. I use to taught in the past in Peru Maths for 3rd, 4th and 5th Secondary Grades (equivalent to 10th, 11th and 12th Grades of High School). In addition I'm father of four kids. Two of them are 22 and 21 years old. My other daughters are 14 and 12 years old. I gave all of them support in Maths and Science when was required.
I'm patient and recognize feelings when somebody doesn't understand. I really believe that understanding Maths or Physics is easy when the required background is present. A Little Bit About Me...

I completed my B.S in Biology in 1991 and my M.S. in Wildlife Research in 1994. I have 2 manuscripts published in the Journal of Wildlife Management. I worked for the Washington State Department of Natural Resources for 14 years as an Endangered Species Research Scientist. I have extensive experience in science, math, technical writing, computer programming, and database management. For the last 18 months I have been laid off and enjoying parenting my 2 children who are 11 and 7. Over the past 10 years I have volunteered in their schools, been active on the PTA, and taught Sunday School. I know I will be an excellent tutor of English, math, science, information technology!
