In my final year earning a Bachelor's degree, I completed an honors thesis (entitled "Erotism and Death in Italian Postmodern Literature and Film") for which I received an "A." I understand that all children can learn, but they also learn at different paces, in different ways, and at different times of the day. As I learn through audio, visual, and tactile, I can teach to those strengths as well. I am patient and easy going as long as the student tries to understand what is being taught to them. I like to see the people I work with succeed and enjoy teaching.

I prefer a relaxed relaltionship with students regardless of their age. I do not try to force anything, rather comfortably explain things on a level that can be understood by the student. I try to have fun with the subject, and make it interesting on the student's level of understanding/experience. I realize some students may not be comfortable in a remedial situation, and try to encourage participation in a non-threatening manner.
Earned degree 1966-Have traveled multiple times in Europe where I have successfully used the French language in French speaking and non-French speaking areas. Have tutored for two years through two different services. I very much enjoy helping others to learn another language, and have fun with it. I am also qualified to tutor basic math and reading.
