As the middle child in the family, I was very competitive among my siblings. I was very much driven to achieve goals that I set for myself. I have earned two bachelor degrees, a BA in Theater Art and a BS in Biology, which have enabled me to gain an understanding in various ways areas of science and math. I believe students learn best in a situation they feel safe in. Not all students learn at the same pace, learning style, or level. I take these things into consideration as I am planning lessons. I usually try a varity of ways to get the lesson across, through group teaching, buddy system, one-on-one, worlshops, stations, games, what have you. It depends on my students and the lesson.
I am a graduate of Cetral Washington University, with a BA in Elementary Education and a Minor in Reading. Before enrolling at the university and during my time there, I worked with elementary school children, helping them with Reading, Writing and Math skills. I have a special interest in Reading in Writing and enjoy helping students"turn on the Lights" on these skills.
