I am an educational consultant in Cannon County, Tennessee. Over the years I have developed programs and curriculums for several schools and school districts. My specializations are teaching students with dyslexia/learning disabilities and students with autism spectrum disorders. I recently received an Educational Specialist degree from MTSU and I will be completing their Doctorate program in Literacy Studies during the next two years.
I employ specialized methods of instruction. When working with the learning disabled, I take the time to diagnose their processeing abilities and learning style. Teaching is my passion. Students need to be challenged, engaged, and eager to learn which is fueled by the enthusiasm of the teacher. I recognize that not every student in my classroom learns in the same manner. Various teaching methods need to be combined so that students have the opportunity to learn in multiple ways.
