Earth Science is one of my top subjects! Received a bachelors of science degree in Environmental Resource Management from Penn State University. This type major encompasses all aspects of science ranging from chemistry to physics to biology in order to understand the world and environment around us.

Since graduating from college I have been learning more and more about the natural world around us. I have spent time as a professional biologist performing a wide array of tasks that encompass chemistry and engineering with aspects to biological studies. As a student attending Florida State University's Civil Engineering program I was required to regularly learn, understand and apply complex mathematical equations, and scientific concepts to both hypothetical and real world problems. Many of the things in life that we don't "get" are things we don't understand. When teaching, I try to break things down and simplify them so they can be easily understood. Often the kids in my class are those who do not like to be challenged, so I incorporate a lot of questions to provoke thinking and problem solving on their own. Since repetition is a key component to learning, I review a lot which requires patience but pays great dividends in the long run. I try to keep things fresh and fun by adding a lot of variety, and also like to motivate with real-world examples so students can see a practicle use for what they are learning.
