I worked for 3 years painting custom design and replications of needlepoint templates for a boutique on Newbury Street in Boston. I also have been building my portfolio of nature prints and paintings to show and sell. I am comfortable teaching all mediums including mixed media. Over the years I have created works of art using nearly every type of paint and painting technique available. As an early childhood teacher, I have had several opportunities to help children (school age), to do homework. I also was a tutor in high school to a boy for just Algebra, which then turned around to being all of his subjects and helping him keep on track. The hardest thing for me was that he had only lived in the U.S. for four years, and had trouble speaking English. After each session of tutoring, I would grab the Scrabble board, which encouraged him to use more words, learn new words, and have fun while doing so.
