This is my sixth year of teaching art lessons to children in an after school program in Lexington, Ma. Every May we host a public art show to debut the children's top projects. I am experienced in printmaking, needlecraft, how to make a winter fleece hats, make a better diorama for school projects, create a mobile, or make a pop-up interactive display board, jewelry, sand art, you name it! |
I specialize in puppetry! It is great for helping quiet children find their voice, and students of any age to build self-confidence in front of an audience. |
I received my bachelor of fine arts degree in Studio Arts and Graphic Design, so I am confident teaching any style or use of medium in Drawing. |
I have my degree in Graphic Design, interned as a graphic designer for six months, and have done small projects for private customers. I am efficient in the Adobe programs including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
Digital photography is also one of my hobbies. I am comfortable teaching the art and technique of digital photography. |
I worked for 3 years painting custom design and replications of needlepoint templates for a boutique on Newbury Street in Boston. I also have been building my portfolio of nature prints and paintings to show and sell. I am comfortable teaching all mediums including mixed media. |
Sculpting is a great medium in that it can be done in so many different ways: clay, paper-mache, found objects, recycled materials, wood. I have done several of my own sculptures in college and out, and teach children different sculpting projects throughout the year. |
