In college I was a "student instructor" in my university's writing lab, which is just another way of saying that I was a tutor. Post graduation, I now have experience with journalism as I've written articles for The Style Vibe and Green Label, both highly respected online magazines. Also as a creative writer I have published numerous short stories as well as a few poems. I currently have two novellas under review for publication.

A Little Bit About Me...

In my experience as a teacher in the church,I have worked with a variety of students from young to old, from very intelligent to the mentally challenged. Thus I have learned to be flexible. After watching a documentary on teachers teaching in the inner city, I decided to switch my major from Pre-Law to Elementary Education. I've always loved learning and I wanted to be able to convey that same message to my students. In college, I majored in Elementary Education with a minor in Psy. of the Exceptional Child. This minor allowed me to study children who are gifted and children with special needs. I am currently working on a Masters in Special Education because I've learned an extensive amount of knowledge on this subject working for the Early Intervention program in my area.
I've always believed that children learn by doing.
