My comments on tutoring Elementary Science : I have been a teacher for 27 years and have a masters degree in reading although I have taught all subject areas. I have taught grades 2-5.

I taught third grade for 15 years in Galena Park ISD. I became a content mastery teacher for 2 years. I then taught art for 2 years. I received my masters in reading and became a reading specialst. I have been a reading specialist now for 8 years and I am currently employed by Schertz Cibolo University City ISD.
My style is varied depending on the needs of the student, however, I mostly use tactile/kinesthetic styles with the use of visuals and manipulatives.

I am a graduate of a Christian University, and I have recently completed my certification training for me to be an elementary or Middle school teacher this fall. I've always had a love of learning, and have naturally slipped into an informal tutor role with friends. During high school I took several AP tests and at the same time earned the International Baccalaureate diploma, so I understand very well the pressures involved.
