Piano is one of my top subjects!

I teach classical piano, so my students work on scales, arpeggios and etudes to quickly enhance their technique. Their repertoire is varied, but always include piece by one of the greatest composers of the past (Bach, Mozart, Brahms, to mention only a few) and a piece by contemporary composer. The students also play light jazz and they enjoy it a lot.
Over 20 years of teaching experience as a school music teacher, private piano and theory instructor, and conductor for church and community choirs. I work to make every students meet her goals, thus, each lesson is designed to particular student. I accept students age of 5 up to 70. I feel that each child needs to feel appreciated and successful. My sessions include, of course, language, music, or speech, but I also work in philosophy, history, and technology. I feel that students of today are not receiving as much well rounded education as they desire, or need, for the future workplace or self-satisfaction. My students not only feel that they are learning a language or how to play and instrument, but that they are acquiring real world skills that will help them succeed in whatever field they choose. I hope to bring my love and passion toward languages and music to all students, so that they too can share in the excitement, brain-boosting energy, and fun that these fields can offer.

A Little Bit About Me...

I love teaching and working with children and adults alike. Everyone can learn; it is up to the teachers to find out how their students learn best. I was 14 years old when my younger brother was born, so I had the wonderful opportunity to learn firsthand that teaching requires a great deal of patience, knowledge, and flexibility. My goal in teaching is to maximize efficiency -- find out how the student learns best and tailor the teaching materials to meet his or her needs.
My pre-medical school coursework allowed me to gain conceptual and hands-on understanding in the areas of inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, physics, and biology.
