I work in two formats: 1. I teach students who already take Russian and need help with homework, tests, etc. 2. I teach those who are not enrolled in any Russian course and are looking to either improve their fluency or to uncover the basics. My lessons are well structured and focus on the following areas: - Writing - Reading - Listening - Speaking - Grammar I was born and raised in Russia and excelled at both Russian and English at school and college. I have many years of experience in creative writing in both languages as well. I use a well-developed system that is flexible enough to adjust to the needs of any student. These qualify me to teach GED,ESL and any health-care related class. I like the students to learn how to learn. As a rising junior at Cornell University, I was asked to TA a Chemistry course for engineers. I accepted and entered into my first teaching position. Immediately, I knew teaching was right for me. Helping explain a complicated topic in a simple way and watch students get it is an amazing experience. I quickly signed up to TA 3 more courses next semester (Bio,Chem,CS). After graduation I continued teaching at KAAPrep. There I taught 1on1 and group lectures on math and science subjects and standardized tests like SAT2's and AP's. Lastly, I taught Organic Chemistry at the Weill medical school in the Middle East. I was born and lived in Russia until I was 11, so I am fluent in the language.
