Sculpting is one of my top subjects! I have been sculpting as a hobby for the past 12 years. I have experience in creating full size busts of various characters including the alien "Predator". My medium of choice is modeling clay "Chavant NSP Medium" although I have worked with other various clays. I have experience in life casting, mold making, prosthetic creation, and prop making. I am currently about to finish a T-Rex model inspired by Stan Winston's work in jurassic park, which I will be mass producing and selling as a paint it your self model in addition to creating a "Kickstarter" to help acquire funding. I am self taught and believe I can contribute a great deal not only in your sculpting ability but also your ability to continue learning and self teach.

I am a highly motivated individual that enjoys working with other. While having a solid education in Finance & Accounting I also pride my self in my artistic and creative abilities. My grandfather had me using power tools to build projects even in elementary school and I know that starting young and observing my grandpa has had a significant influence on my ability to teach my self and create essentially anything I set my mind to. I can assure you that my experience in sculpting will contribute greatly to your artistic ability and my well rounded knowledge will assist in nearly any project you would like to take on.
I don't have much teaching experience but I will adjust my teaching style to each individual student's interests and needs.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have always enjoyed teaching and helping others to learn. I don't believe in "I can't do it" or "I can't learn". I believe that anyone can learn anything as long as they're willing to learn and put an effort to do so. What is different is that some people have more ability than other to learn certain tasks, but eventually, everyone can learn. It is all a matter of adapting oneself to the student's need and ability to learn. My goal is to make the student learn what they set up their mind to learn in the first place, and help them improve their condition. It is very rewarding to see that you have made a difference in their lives.

More About This Tutor...

I have been tutoring for many years both privately and for Title I schools. I have tutored k-12, as well as college students in most subjects. I love the arts, writing, and science. I have a passion for getting students interested in learning, getting creative, and learning art as early as possible. The same method applies to math and science, where I try to get students to see their subjects in different ways and apply the learning to what they love most or at least can relate to better.
I am patient and creative when it comes to teaching and visually showing my students different ways to apply what they learn.

My comments on tutoring Sculpting : I've worked with quite a few different materials and could easily teach you how to hone your skills in from beginner to novice levels. No firing materials unless you have access to a kiln.

I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Art Institute in 2004 with top honors and a nomination for Best Demo Reel. I taught for a semester in 2004 at the Institute and went on to teach privately the the next two years (tutor). I became a photoshop trainer at work and an Art Director of a million dollar graphic design firm by 2007. I have flown to Cape Town in South Africa and Canberra in Australia to teach crash course photoshop seminars- up to 8 people with no computer experience at all. I have lead a team of 15 in photo editing for a professional studio and still teach privately today.
Hands on and detailed lecture. I talk fast, but I teach you to work fast as well. The hardest part of my lesson will be knowing when to put it down and call something finished. I love to laugh, be loud and have a great time. It's a joy to teach and I make sure it's a joy to learn as well.

I have a degree in Criminal Justice. I have always been a good student. I have never directly taught children, but I have 2 kids who I help everyday with their homework and they are in junior high and are in all advanced classes. Since I feel that I am a great motivator and know how to study for certain things, I show my kids the encouragement they need and now I feel I can offer this to other kids as well. I have great grammer skills and can help with studying as well.
Every child is different, but one thing all children need is some patience and motivation that they can do it. I am easy going and have great qualities to be there for children like I am for my own. I love to help children and anyone who needs help.

Each child learns in different ways, and as a Tudor/teacher it is my responsibility to discover the method of teaching that matches a child’s way of learning. I am patient, understanding and provide a constructive approach to learning. All children have the potential of learning; some simply require a different method and approach to grasp the information and it is my duty to provide such approach.
I'm currently attending American Military University, with less than a year to graduate with a bachelor degree in Public Health, which allows me to have a better understanding in health science related subjects. I am honored for the wonderful opportunity I have had to work as an artist at the Walt Disney World Company for the last 12 years. Besides having earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Carnegie Mellon University, my work experience has exposed me to so many artistic mediums that I have become quite a jack-of-all-trades in the art world; capable of working in anything from thermoplastics, acrylics, silicone, fiberglass, faux finishes, airbrushing, textiles, wood working, calligraphy, to gold leafing and so on. Recently I have enjoyed taking my experience and sharing it with others to help them reach their goals.
One of my gifts is bringing out the best in other people. It is very easy for me to recognize a bright spot in someone and draw that out of them through encouragement and positive feedback. Being an artist makes it easy for me to think outside the box which I feel is ... read more

A Little Bit About Me...

As an Education major graduate I am driven to challenge and reinforce students in order to obtain a high level of performance. In college I achieved a triple minor in English, Psychology and Science. I did this with the intent that strong content knowledge will greatly affect student achievement along with excellent teaching strategies. I have had experience teaching all grade levels and have taught in several different schools. My career has taken me from Canada to the UK and now to the States. I believe my "tool kit" of strategies and my drive for progress with ultimately help any child make the gains necessary for their grade level.
Teaching is my passion and I thoroughly enjoy working with children. I especially enjoy working independently with children to help their social and academic needs. I strongly believe all children can learn; the mission is finding out HOW they learn. ... read more

A Little Bit About Me...

It was my dream for years to work with children in the school setting. Their education is so important for them to be all they can be in life. I love watching them "catch" on after I have helped them understand that they can learn. Being patient, flexible, and respectful have proven to me that children really do want to excel. I try very hard to help the child decide what works best for them to learn.
My degree in Psychology has been helpful while working with students. It has helped me connnect while utilizing an individual approach to better engage a child in the learning experience.
