I have taught at the university level for 4 years and tutored all ages of children and adults for 3 years. The subjects that I have tutored or taught include English, mathematics, and the social sciences (economics, government and history). My MA in International Relations has allowed me to teach political science and writing composition at the university level. In college, I received certifications in teaching English as a Second Language, and I have taught English to foreign students at the university level. As a mathematics minor in college, I also have experience in tutoring mathematics (particularly algebra and geometry) at the college-prep level. Finally, I can also tutor in SAT preparation. The most important thing to me is making sure each child is able to learn in a manner in which they feel comfortable. Each person's learning style is as unique as the individual themselves. So, I like to get input from the student as to how they would like lesson plans and exercises to be implemented.
