I'm a graphic designer and I want to make you awesome.

I am a graphic designer with a high level of expertise in motion graphics, print design, branding and identity, and web design. I have worked for a marketing company the last few years as a motion and graphic designer and recently for a design agency designing material for various different clients. I am also a drummer and musician, and an artist.
I like to be hands on in my teaching technique and have you do the assignments with some supplemental knowledge given to you as you do it. Everything is step by step and builds upon itself until you master the subject. I want the student to have fun while we do it, I'm not too serious and not too joking either. I want you to enjoy the subject and learn at your own pace.

My teaching style is aligned with Pinellas County. I have over 1,000 professional development hours. Only 120 hours are required every five years to recertify. I am a life long learner and highly qualified. I teach using scientific data, progress monitoring,and by setting learning goals. If the goals are not met I change the strategy to meet the sunshine state standards. I am data driven and teach to the way the student learns. Since I am trained in interventions I am fammiliar with all the programs provided by the school system as well as the computer programs.
I graduated from the University of Michigan with a full schalarship for tuition and books. I was a physics tutor at the University and I have been a tutor for over 36 years since my graduation. I have been working at the same local elementary school since November 2006 working with EBD and VE student, tutoring students one on one and in small groups of up to four and five. I have an A.A. degree in General Education and Music and plenty of experience tutoring elementary school age.
I love using manipulatives with all subjects. It makes learning fun even for those that are frustrated with the subject. Since everyone learns in a different way I need to teach the material in different ways to find out which way is best for that student. By using manipulatives with verbal directions and giving examples for them to see covers the bases of physical, visual, and aural learning students.
