I feel that the most important step to being an effective teacher is to make the material relevant. If the student does not see a relevant reason to learn the material, the learning curve will be much steeper. Then, I work hard to be sure the student understands my commitment to partner with him/her in the learning process, and that process is a two-way street. I am passionate about mathematics and I enjoy teaching it. Various students have different styles of learning and it is only through individual exposure that I am able to find the right learning technique for any give student. Patient and faith in the students, however, are the most determining factors in teaching them. I recently graduated from Florida International University.
