I have 40 years professional experience in Accounting, Budget, Auditing, Project Management and General Management. As an Audit Manager, I dealt with all levels of management at a Fortune 500 company. I taught elementary school children real world applications of mathematics as a volunteer in a business and community partnership program. I am comfortable working with children and young adults and I can readily establish rapport with children of all ages.
My style of teaching depends on the needs of the student, their skill level, potential and suggestions of the parents. If the student has no general learning difficulties and exhibits potential in other subjects, then I begin by creating a baseline and comfort level with the subject matter. How do I summarize teaching in my life? I guess the best way to explain my teaching experience is to tell you a story. As a young girl I wanted to be a teacher. Because of my love of learning I taught all my siblings how to read. I know it is pretty funny but it is a true story.
