After graduation I decided never to stop studying Law, the Brazilian legal system, different legal systems around the world and international law, both public and private. I became a specialist in tax law, a master in jurisprudence and a PhD in international law. Becoming a professor was only natural and my teasing career began in 1992 or 1993. I have 20 years experience as an educator and 2 years as a private tutor. I currently teach English in an adult education setting and have successfully tutored students in Reading, Writing, Grammar, Math, Study Skills, SAT/ACT prep and GED preparation. I taught debate and public speaking at Carroll College from 2000 until 2002 and briefly assisted the University of Montana debate program during the 2003 academic year. Both positions required hands on instruction in the basics of rhetorical theory as well as extensive research and writing. A good instuctor is able to separate theory from practice (in any academic discipline) and reassemble them so the student has a broad understanding of both components. I am a firm believer in reading comprehension as a precondition for student success and endeavor to impress upon students the need to continually expand one's knowledge base through reading.
