A Little Bit About Me...

I have worked with many different children on many different academic levels. Through my experiences, I have found that any student can be successful. It is my job as an educator to find the style of learning that will benefit each child I work with. Every child is special and all have the potential to excel in academics if given the right tools to work with.
I began tutoring while in high school. I worked with children in Kindergarten and First Grade. I continued tutoring children through two Americorps terms with Communities In Schools in Ardmore, Oklahoma. While in college, I worked as a substitute teacher for the elementary schools in the Ardmore area. Teaching has been something I have done a great deal of my life no matter what path I was on. When I was in nursing school, patient teaching was a strong point of mine. I love children. I have a degree in Mathematics with a minor in Computer Science and Statistics. I have 24 years of experience in software development for the U.S. Army.
