As someone who felt in my youth that if I could only pay attention I could learn anything has taught me how to break down the barriers to focus and how it can shape a students success in any discipline. Focusing on my learning style has taught me how to demonstrate complex ideas in ways that are easy to absorb. I tend to find different ways to relate material to students in ways that are fun. I'm Alfred University Graduate student in Literacy Education, graduating in May, 2010. I attended AU for my undergrad work in Elementary education. During my time here I was able to do my student teaching, which were the best learning experiences I've had. During the summer of 2009, I tutored a young girl in ELA, to help with her speech and language impairment, which was very hands-on and a pleasure learning about her. Having a BSEE and graduating on the dean's list, my tutoring experience started in college. I tutored other students in Math, Algebra, Calculus, and English.
