Math is an especially intimidating subject to many, but learning at an individual pace is often the only barrier to complete understanding. I am patient, and willing and able to explain the workings of different concepts that cannot be covered in a classroom setting, in as many different ways as the student needs. On the other hand, I am mindful of the individual’s learning style and understanding, and will adjust the pace, slower OR faster, to the student. I have taught music in public education for the last 15 years. I have been involved in church music ministry for over 25 years, and currently am the church pianist in Stockton, Ca. I love working with children of all ages. Math is my second love and I almost majored in math instead of music. Math was always easy for me in school. Although I don't enjoy writing, I am very strong in written English and enjoy proofreading papers. I strive to include various learning styles when working with children.
