I worked as a paralegal, parttime, for a lawfirm for awhile, then decided to take the Bar Exam in Florida. I took and passed the Florida Bar Exam in 2007. As a graduate of The Ohio State University I was very driven to assist other individuals whenever I could to complete their education and help them in any way I possibly could. My last semester at FSU I internship with 1st grade students. I assisted students with areas they were struggled in and encouraged them to push themselves. I tutored several students in reading and writing skills. I also helped prepared students for their weekly math tests. By the end of the semester I took over teaching the class. Some classes in my major required me to do projects with children. As a volunteer, I participated this past year at camp Woe-Be-Gone. This is a one day camp that works with about 120 children, helping them learn at the museum of science and industry while understanding and coping with the illness or loss of loved one. In high school I volunteered with Best Buddies, allowing me to work with handicapped children. I also participated in TOPS as an assistant coach for handicapped children. I love teaching children using hands-on and interactive techniques. I am also a personal trainer in my spare time so I try to incorporate moving into lessons because I think children work well when they can move around and really apply what they are learning to something they really like to do. I use technology constantly in my teaching and have found that my students really apply themselves more when they enjoy the fun that learning brings!
I graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor degree in Elementary Education and then received my Master's degree in Elementary Education with a specialization in Educational Technology.
