Do you want to learn Brazilian Portuguese? I’ m a native speaker born and raised in Brazil (State of São Paulo) with a Ph.D. in Linguistics (State University of Campinas, Brazil - 2002). I’ve been teaching Portuguese and Linguistics for more than 20 years and I’ll plan your classes exclusively for you, focusing on your own interests. I'm in Northwest Austin (78717).
My Portuguese program is open-ended and focused on your specific needs and skills. It also includes the Brazilian culture and social codes to better understand the context and use of the language. The classes cover the four skills (reading, listening, speaking and writing) with emphasis on speaking, focusing in everyday life situation, in a communicative approach. A variety of written, oral as well visual materials are used.

Conversational Class.
I was born and raised in Brazil and I am proud of my culture. Portuguese is my native language and I love helping people to learn and practice in a laid back manner. I've been living in Austin since 2001 but I still keep my roots in Brazil and love to share the culture. My class is dynamic and I focus on each individual's needs and skills.
