Never stop learning!

I grasped the importance of education at a very young age and excelled throughout school. My comments on tutoring Composition : Because of my B.A. in English, I consider myself to be quite experienced in composition. The only reason I would not call myself an expert is because it seems school systems frequently change the types of essays they require students to write, and it is difficult to keep up. For example, it is my underdanding that the "five paragraph essay" is no longer used to assess student writing at the high school level.

I have extensive experience both locally and abroad teaching ESL. I taught in Korea for two years before working at a local ESL school. Within these two positions, I taught ages 5 through adult. Seven years ago, I became a certified teacher in Georgia and have been teaching ESOL in public schools since then. I have published about a dozen poems and one short story. Currently, I am working on my third novel and am looking for an agent. My forte as a teacher is discovering what a student is trying to convey in his/her writing. Para los que no hablan ingles, soy bilingue. Aunque puedo decir esto, me espanol no es perfecto.
I enjoy humor where appropriate and am very patient with students who need time to understand concepts that are new to them.
