My comments on tutoring Testing Skills : As a special education teacher I have taught Testing Skills for the last 13 years.

I have 22 years experience of working with students ages 6 to 17 in two different countries. I taught elementary for two years in India and 4 years of 6th grade to 10th grade in India. I worked as a Teaching Assistant in California for one year in a middle school in a special education classroom. As cliché as this sounds - my favorite part of teaching is the satisfaction of knowing I made a difference. I have always wanted to be a teacher. My parents were both educators and instilled me with the desire to value an education. Being a Metropolitan State graduate, I understand first hand what an impact that a good education can have on urban students. A Little Bit About Me...

I have done a lot of teaching and tutoring, both with adults and young people. Most of my experience, though, comes from working with high school and junior high school students. I spent the majority of that time as a tutor/ mentor and would work with the students one on one or in small groups, both in the library or in the classroom. It was really the most wonderful experience and I was able to provide tremendous benefits to the students on both an academic and personal level.
I really do place something of a premium on being able to connect with all of my students on an academic and personal level.
