A Little Bit About Me...

Teaching has been something I have done a great deal of my life no matter what path I was on. When I was in nursing school, patient teaching was a strong point of mine. I love children. I am patient, kind and believe in utilizing intrinsic and extrinsic forms of lessons so that children develop a love of learning and see the short term rewards and long term rewards.My goal is to help a student succeed.
I am currently heading for a BS in Elementary Education while I am home schooling my children. I have home school grades 6-11. I am graduating in May 2010 with a undergraduate degree in English Education. I have worked in several school districts as tutor, observer, and student teaching. I have personally worked in the following areas: Speech/Drama, English, and Middle school tutoring. I have worked with students in the 6-12 grades. I have also worked with Southern Nazarene University as a Teacher's Assistant.
