I seek to develop and foster great students who will attain excellent careers. This method can be adapted to fit any student of any age.

More About This Tutor...

I enjoy teaching and working with children and adults. My first experience in education was with children's music classes, and have since enjoyed the opportunity to teach adults at the community college level. I would describe my style as adaptive. In my experience every child and adult requires somewhat of a different approach. After careful evaluation, a course is developed to meet the students needs. With that said, no matter what approach is taken, above all else I know that practice and a solid understanding of the subject's terms is the first key to successful learning.
For over four years, I have been involved in private tutoring as well as teaching classes available to the public. I have a passion for teaching and enjoy helping others succeed. I believe strongly in developing positive relationships with my students, and the rapport I have with them in the classroom or while tutoring has aided their successes. I tend to adjust my methods as I learn more about my students, and my students have experienced quite a bit of success in the past.

I believe I can be a good teacher as I have the necessary background and the experience. The fact that I like sharing knowledge would only add to my interest in a teaching opportunity. If I have a choice, I would prefer one-on-one type tutoring classes to group courses. My style of teaching is pretty basic. I would want my students to spend a lot of time practicing and knowing their subject matters. I would want my students to put in the required dedication to the educational opportunity on hand.
I have had experience tutoring undergraduate level students with various levels of mathematics and accounting courses while at college from 2002-2006. I also have over 3 years of experience mentoring professional staffs on accounting job functions.

I learned through visual aid. So, I guess I would lean towards this style of teaching. However, if a student learns better with audio aid then I would be willing to combine the two methods to better educate the student. My goal is to provide the best education possible and to suceed in that is to have great communication and alittle fun doing the work that is expected.

It helped me understand the areas that I didnt and excel in the areas I did. I would like to give thas opportunity to someone else.

I love learning math and science and I enjoy sharing the same love of learning with my students. I like seeing the look on their face when they really get it! Students requiring tutoring are sometimes in academic distress and have anxiety therefore I have a more easy going and patient style of tutoring than most. I believe I'm an effective tutor because I remember the exact same difficulties and questions I had as a student and can relate to their frustration. Most people as well as myself are visual learners thus I teach by working several examples and gradually increasing the difficulty at a pace set by the student. I would rather spend a whole tutoring session working a few examples the student completely understands as opposed to several problems with no understanding. The goal is to slowly establish a pattern of success with simpler work then before the student realizes it they're o ... read more
