I graduated high school with a full International Baccalaureate Program Diploma, and a 4.53 weighted GPA. I then went on to receive a full ride scholarship to Santa Clara University for Computer Engineering, where I took part in the University's Honors Program. In 1995, I began my official tutoring odyssey by assisting my classmates in AP Calculus. Every day during lunch I spent my half-hour helping my fellow high school seniors succeed, ultimately achieving a 4/5 on the AP exam and guiding others to similar grades. I taught for twenty five years at the middle school level mostly in a self contained sixth grade classroom. In addition to teaching reading, English, math, science,and social studies, I taught electives is video filming and remedial reading. In my experience as a teacher, I discovered that all students can learn if they are properly motivated.
